A Study on Multi-Antenna Pre/Post-Rake Transmission for UWB-IR System

(in English) In this paper, multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) transmission for UWB-IR system is considered.
In MIMO transmission, two or more different signals are transmitted in parallel using multiple transmission antennas at the same time and the same frequency. Therefore, MIMO transmission is attracting attention as a technology for high speed data transmission.
However, inter-stream interference is occurred in each reception antenna.
In this paper, two kinds of MIMO transmission schemes for UWB-IR wireless communication system using Pre/Post-Rake combiners and the bit error rate (BER) performances are analyzed under high data rate wireless personal area network (WPAN) environment by computer simulation.
