Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The block-spread CDMA communication system has received much attention as an MUI-free system even under the multi-path environments. It is expected to improve transmission quality by introducing an adaptive antenna array. In this paper, we propose a receiver composition method for BS/CDMA systems incorporating adaptive receive antenna array at the base station. In the antenna array system, multiple receiving signals associated with antenna elements should be efficiently processed to detect the desired signal. So we exploit such the property that a block circulant matrix is diagonalized by a DFT matrix, to transform the time-domain MMSE solution vector into the concise counterpart in the extended DFT-domain, which leads to a low-complexity receiver structure. Computer simulations are conducted under quasi-static fading environments, and the effectiveness is shown in terms of SINR and BER characteristics.
