Proposal of Web Service API for Flow Statistics Information

(in English) For automated network management system to reduce operator’s workload on large-scale network, some technologies to configure network devices by network management applications have been developed such as NETCONF protocol. However there are few technologies to get network monitoring information, one of important input information for network management, easily by management applications. In this paper, we propose one specification of API based on Web technologies for getting flow statistics information from its collectors. We actually developed a network monitoring system implementing the API. The system shows management applications can get flow statistics information easily by exchanging simple messages on the API.
