[Poster Presentation] Performance of Adaptive Transmission Window Control for Downlink communications in CDMA Cellular packet systems with time-varying traffic

(in English) Transmission Power and Window Control (TPWC) has been proposed against the capacity degradation due to fading in the downlink packet transmissions of CDMA cellular system. However, nonuniformity in communication quality might cause from the location of the mobile station in the cell and the channel load. To solve this problem, we have proposed the location and channel load based Adaptive Transmission Power and Window Control (ATPWC). In the proposed method, the threshold which controls the timing of the packet transmissions is controlled according to the location of the mobile stations and the channel load, and it is shown that the proposed method obtains the improvement in the uniformity of the communication quality. However, the performance under time-varying traffic environments has not been evaluated. Then, in this study, the transmission performance of the proposed method is evaluated under the environment with time-varying traffic.
