The hybrid equation is often used in the theoretical study of nonlinear
circuits because it has an easily analyzed struture. Moreover, the
hybrid equation is advantageous from the viewpoint of numerical analysis (especially in piecewise-linear analysis and in finding all solutions) because it consists of a small number of variables and is separable.
However, the hybrid equation is seldom used in practical application because its formulation is difficult. In this paper, we propose a simle method for formulating hybrid equations using SPICE. In our method, difficult theory and complicated programming are not necessary; we only perform the DC analysis of SPICE to the circuit that is obtained from a simple modification to the original circuit. It is also shown that state equations of linear or nonlinear dynamic circuits can also be formulated by the proposed method. |
