Nonlinearity Improvement Using Input-Output Characteristics of Electromagnetic Transducer Takayuki Kobayashi, Kenji Furihata (Shinshu Univ.) EA2008-74 |

Recently, some methods using digital filters (Volterra filters) based on the Volterra series expansion have been proposed for the identification nonlinear systems and the elimination of their nonlinear distortions. This paper proposes a new method of the elimination of the second order nonlinear distortion using the input-output characteristics of an earplug type electromagnetic transducer. The corrected input signal was calculated from the relations among the input-output characteristics measured, the corrected signal for the ideal input signal, and the signal corrected by convolving the inverse transfer function. From the results, it can be found that the improvement method proposed can be reduced the second order harmonic from 85dB to 55dB at 170Hz. Therefore, it can be said that the proposed method can eliminate the nonlinear distortion of the second order harmonic for the electromagnetic transducer. |
