Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this paper, we propose a vanishing point based field auxiliary plane generation method for a multiple view player position estimation. In traditional method, the player position is estimated using a field plane constraint. However, a problem of these traditional methods is occurred by some object shadows on the field plane. In our method, player positions are estimated using a field auxiliary plane supporting to the field plane. The field auxiliary plane is computed from the vanishing point. We evaluate our method by an experiment using image sequence of basketball game.
