Control System for Bone-conducted Speech by Earplug Type Transducer

(in English) Stuttering is caused by bone-conduced speech feedback. If bone-conducted speech can be controlled, stuttering can be corrected. This paper proposes a control system for bone-conducted speech with active noise control (ANC). The system consists of following items: (1)a microphone which measures the sound pressure in a small cavity enclosed by an earplug and eardrum(tip mic), (2)a microphone which picks up a controlling voice(inner mic), and (3)an earphone which regenerate the controlling voice. The system controls bone-conducted speech. Furthermore, transfer function must be determined to perform the ANC. In this report, transfer function between inner mic and tip mic is measured about every vowel, and the control system for bone-conducted speech is simulated with these transfer functions. From the result, the sound pressure at eardrum can be controlled.
