Query-by-Sketch Image Retrieval Using Data Mining

(in English) The previous method that was query-by-sketch image retrieval using online-strokes combined the shape of each stroke and the stroke order with relevance feedback, and the retrieval precision improved. However, the feature database is larger because the data of each stroke is stored. To use the large amount of data effectively, data mining is applied to stored data of each stroke, and frequent sketch patterns are extracted. The purpose of the present paper is to improve the retrieval precision and efficiency by using extracted frequent sketch patterns. The proposed method is applied to 20,000 images in Corel Photo Gallery. Experimental results show that the proposed method is effective in retrieving images.
