Development of Arm Robot Synchronized with Human Action

(in English) One of the highest needs for humanoid robots is person's work support. Especially, remote-controlled robots will be put into practical use in the near future. The purpose of this paper is development of arm robot synchronized with human action. The high ability of an arm is indispensable for working for the person. So, we have been developing arm robot that imitates person's arm structure. The motion of operator is calculated from data measured by optical motion capture system, and the robot follows operator's actions. This paper describes the development and the evaluation results of this humanoid arm robot. The system was evaluated by the follow and smoothness.
