(in English) Since peer-to-peer wirless communication technology has matured,
the design issue will be shifted to heterogeneous wireless
distributed networks. In this report, the architecture of
heterogeneous wireless distributed networks is introduced
by using an analogy between wireless network and road traffic network.
The wireless network and road traffic network are both
social infrastructure to be developed similarly.
The peer-to-peer wireless communication with MIMO multi-stream
transmission corresponds to an one-way road with multiple lanes.
By following up the history of development in the road traffic network,
next steps on the one-way road with multi-lane were
bifurcate lane, merging lane, interconnection, multi-route,
two-way, intersection, and so on as for road structure, and interconnection between different types of road, car navigation system, and so on as for road service. Although such different structures and types of road are located distributedly in a space, they work cooperatively to contribute efficient road traffic networks.
Such an architecture is called as heterogeneous distributed road traffic network. Similarly, you can find the key components of the heterogeneous
wireless distributed networks by finding conterparts of the road traffic networks.
