We proposed a GPS ionospheric delay correction method using modified global core plasma model (GCPM). Ionospheric delay, which is a major error for GPS ranging, is generally corrected by Klobuchar model. However, correction accuracy by the model is not so good. We, therefore, calculated total electron content between GPS satellite and a ground base by GCPM. In this study, GCPM is modified to present more accurate electron density profile by taking local time and monthly variations of ionospheric density into account. |
