[Special Talk] Satellite communication bussiness in Japan

(in English) In Japan, Broad band circuits are advanced using terrestrial land line like optical cable but the regions that won’t covered by terrestrial line still exist. In these region, satellite communication using VSAT etc, is expected. And satellite communication is mandatory as the back system of terrestrial line, because of the robust to disaster, the easiness to deploy and the portability.
On October 2008, three companies , SKY Perfect Communications inc as satellite broadcast company, JSAT corporation and Space Communications Corporation as satellite operator , are merged, and new business field is expected. In this report, current satellite communication services are reviewed and further business deployment are described.
