(in English) In order to explore the transmission characteristics of a tapered dielectric waveguide, we apply a modal analysis technique to the calculated results of electromagnetic field simulators. The field of the tapered waveguide at any transverse section can be expressed as a sum of the propagating modal fields in a cylindrical waveguide having the corresponding diameter, and the expansion coefficients of them help us to consider the transmission characteristics.
