| (in English) | The effect of knowledge conversion has not been investigated in any organizational context. This paper employs a taxonomy of knowledge―know-what, know-how, know-why－ and estimates the effects of knowledge conversion among these by a knowledge conversion model in dyads. I collected network data in two software development teams of a large Japanese SI-firm and tested the two hypotheses: (1) Is cognitive gap about the product quality a necessary condition of knowledge conversion?, (2) Does knowledge conversion bring about technical advices? The analysis revealed that knowledge conversion was not associated with cognitive gap but technical advices. | |
