HARQ with Chase Combining for Vector Coding

(in English) In vector coding (VC) transmission, path diversity gain can be obtained while transmitted symbols are orthogonally multiplexed by using the eigenvectors of a channel as spreading codes. In the case of block (packet) transmission such as VC transmission, re-transmission is effective to reduce residual error within the received block. VC has different reception quality for each data symbol because each data symbol is received via a different eigenvalue. In this paper, a chase combining (CC) re-transmission scheme for VC transmission is proposed and the effectiveness of the proposed method is evaluated by computer simulation.
