Microstrip comb-line antenna is developed in the millimeter-wave band.
In the design of quite low sidelobe array antenna such as $-30$ dB,
wide coupling range, $0.9\:-65\:\%$ , is required to realize steep taylor
distribution on the aperture.
The coupling power to the air is controled by the width of the
radiating-element in the conventional comb-line antenna.
However, upper limit of the radiation from the wide radiating-element is
still low. Furthermore, high return loss and high cross polarization are
serious problem for wide radiating-element for large radiation.
We propose a matching-circuit-integrated radiating-element.
Large coupling power is acheved by using the proposed element.
Measured performance of $6$ element antenna is introduced in this paper. |
