Left-Handed Microstrip Line using Thick Ferrite Substrate and its Application to Tunable Filter

(in English) Left-handed microstrip line having thick ferrite substrate is proposed to reduce nonreciprocity of line for the filter applications. Three types of lines are presented. One is a left-handed edge guide mode line using thick ferrite substrate. Second is periodic structure of a left-handed ferrite and dielectric lines with thick substrate where series and parallel resonance circuit of lumped element is loaded on it. Third is a left-handed ferrite line periodically loaded with ring resonator. Their characteristics are examined with experimentally and theoretically including HFSS simulation technique. Microwave tunable filter characteristic was realized by designing resonator loading of lumped element with capacitance and inductances.
