| (in English) | A new type of millimeter-wave imaging format, millimeter-wave passive microscopy, is proposed. Millimeter-wave passive imaging technique when combined with scanning near-field microscopy enables direct observation of thermal radiation emitted from the viewed object with a spatial resolution below the diffraction limit. The details of our microscope system operating at Ka-band frequencies and the image reconstruction method adopted in this work are explained. Millimeter-wave images obtained with the system are presented to show the feasibility of this new imaging format. | |
