IEEE 802.11 DCF as a typical single channel MAC protocol is widely used in ad hoc networks.
Recently, FDMA and CDMA type multi-channel MAC protocols have been studied for further throughput improvement.
However, multi-channel hidden terminal problem and multi-channel deafness problem occur by using multi-channel MAC protocols.
In this study, we proposed a multi-channel MAC protocol using interference cancellation and code sense function.
In our protocol, the multi-channel hidden terminal problem is solved by using the appropriate spreading code owing to the
code sense mechanism which can detect codes used in neighborhood.
We evaluate the performance of proposed protocol by computer simulation. |
