Measurement for Complex Magnetic Fields

(in English) In a field of EMC, if electromagnetic fields could be measured in complex value, generation and propagation
mechanisms of emission in electric equipment, for example, would become known in detail and then it would
be expected that it would offer effective information when designing circuit boards and chassis. In this article, a
technique to measure a complex magnetic field near a electric board using a 6-port circuit. Conventional 6-port
circuit is used only in the frequency region having specified characteristics. On the contrary, by applying an idea of
a circuit concept, a wide-range measurement method technique is proposed. To discuss problems on the proposed
technique, some simulation results are shown.
