Efficient and polarization controled terahertz wave generation from GaP waveguide structures

(in English) We have fabricated GaP waveguides such as slab, rib, and photonic crystal waveguides with the core size of terahertz (THz)-wave wavelength. These waveguide structures show the propagation modes (TE and TM-modes) of THz because of the THz-wave confinement into waveguides. The THz waveguides enables us to generate efficient and polarization controlled THz-wave. We demonstrated elliptically polarized THz-wave generation from the slab waveguide and efficient THz-wave generation from the rib waveguides.
