| (in English) | We proposed a hearing information processing systxsem using pulsed neural networks based on the human being's auditory mechanism.Even though the system can successfully identify several kinds of sound sources, only a single sound can be recognized at a time. When multiple sounds are present, only the most similar signal to the neuron's weights is recognized, due to the use of the Self Organizing Map competition learning method. Thus, the system cannot correctly identify the sound sources when multiple input signals are present. This paper proposes a new method for objective sound extraction from multiple sounds. The method was applied to sounds taken from outdoor environment, in which multiple sounds are commonly found. The experimental results confirm the superiority of the proposed approach when comparing to the previous model. |
