A low dose 3D MDCT includes high level noise, introducing negative influences for diagnosing. Therefore, in the paper, we investigate an image quality improvement method of low dose 3D MDCT by means of 3D Bi-lateral filter. The 3D bilateral filter is one of nonlinear filters, which can reduce the noise level and simultaneously maintain the shape of edges.By applying the 3D bilateral filter to the low dose 3D MDCT, we can substantially reduce noise level and improve quality of the images, enabling us to observe the tumor or vessels clearly.Thus, 3D bilateral filter is practical in increasing the visibility of Low-Dose 3D MDCT. |
