Honeycombing is a cluster of cysts. Each cyst is sized of 2-10mm, and surrounded with walls. The walls are composed of dense fibrous tissues. Honeycombing in the lung is an important diagnostic sign for diseases including fibrosis of the lung. Finding honeycombing by eye is not difficult. because air cyst seized by wall sticks Lung unlike a normal Lung. but actually, There are lots of cases that similar with honeycombing lesions. For examples, emphysema is similar to honeycombing when finding by human eyes. In our study, we propose a novel morphology-based technique about detecting air cyst and honeycombing lesions. |
