(in English) For small animal study, nuclear imaging techniques such as Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) are quite important tools to investigate the cause, diagnosis and therapy of disease at molecular level. However, essential requirement for radionuclide agent and low spatial resolution still limits these techniques. We have developed a Fluorescent X-ray Computed Tomography (FXCT) using synchrotron radiation, which has excellent properties, e.g., usage of non-radioactive agent, high spatial resolution less than 0.5mm, high quantitativeness, and simultaneous acquisition of both functional and morphological information. In this study, we investigated the imaging properties of FXCT and compare it with those of FDG-PET and SPECT by simulation.
