[Tutorial Invited Lecture] Integrative Multi-Modality Molecular Imaging
Chin-Tu Chen (Univ. of Chicago) MI2008-195
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) 。ァIntegrative multi-modality imaging,。ィ in which various imaging subsystems can be assembled and de-assembled flexibly and specific system configurations and imaging geometries in use are determined by the particular experimental objectives in hand, is an emerging concept in molecular imaging. Imaging devices, in the forms of subsystems, inserts, etc., that provide capabilities in CT, SPECT, PET, MRI, or even ultrasound and optical imaging, can be integrated as desired to offer the required imaging features. In addition, 。ァintegrative。ィ imaging probes can be built based on a common platform to carry multiple tracers and/or contrast agents for different modalities. Furthermore, image information from multiple sources can also be integrated in image processing, reconstruction, and analysis as desired in order to improve image and data quality.
