At the present, it is investigated to apply the ray-tracing method to analysis of propagation characteristics in tunnels. By using ray-tracing method, we can analyze the characteristics without restrictions for tunnel shape, and easily consider antenna directivity. Here, when analyzing propagation characteristics of the waves which enter into a tunnel, the diffraction at edge of the tunnel aperture have to be taken into consideration. So, ray-tracing process becomes complicated. In this paper, we propose applying hybrid method of aperture field method and ray-tracing method for easy propagation analysis of incident waves to a tunnel and evaluate performance based on comparison with measurement results. |
