Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In uplink OFDMA systems, the signals transmitted by users at different distance from the base station are received with different time delays. As a result, the transmission performance deteriorates due to the inter-subcarrier interference caused by the delay. In order to solve the problem, we have proposed a multi-user interference canceller based on the principal of the OFDM delay wave canceller and examined the performance of the proposed system in an asynchronous 2 user uplink OFDMA system. From the quantitative analysis by computer simulations, it is indicated that the proposed canceller prevents from the degradation of the transmission performance by multi-user interference. But the performance in a larger user environment has not been made clear. Moreover technical issue remains in that, when the decision symbols have some errors, the interference is not removed effectively. In this paper, we firstly evaluate the performance of the proposed canceller in a multi-user environment more than 2. In addition, the multi-stage canceller is proposed to enhance the performance.
