QoS control of video distribution service in home network.

(in English) We developed a prototype system which consists of a home gateway, controller of QoS in home network, a terminal, receiver of video distribution service, and a server, sender of video distribution service in the Internet. In this system, the home gateway identify the target video flow by analyzing the DNS (Domain Name System) packets transmitted to the terminal, and sets priority value (DCSP) in packet header of the target flow. This means that the home gateway can control QoS in home network without users’ operations, even if the video distribution service without the priority value in packet header is received. This paper describes the overview of the implementation and the evaluation about this system.
