A study on direct current distribution voltage for information and communications systems

(in English) In recent years, energy consumption in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) systems has been increasing rapidly all over the world. One of the rational power architectures is DC system with
less power conversion stages. DC power system has also other benefits, e.g. higher reliability, inter-connectivity to storage equipment and renewable energy sources, compactness, and so on. Many efforts have been made to develop DC power system. However, until today there is no international standard of DC power system focuses on data center. Therefore, this paper describes basic ideas of the optimized DC voltage for the future data center which were referred by some studies of technical papers, and DC regulations and standards.
