Power-line communication (PLC) using an inhouse main-power line needs not to construct a additional new transmission lines.
The main lines are for power transmission of a frequency of 50- or 60-Hz, not for high-frequency signal of a short-wave band.
The main distribution line is fundamentally constructed from two-conductor line, so that its electromagnetic fields are generated in an open area, which is anxious for EMC problems in PLC.
Generally, a theory for a transmission line is based on telegrapher's equations.
In this article, in considering the EMC problems in the main distribution, the usage and application of a network, which has mode-voltage and -current terminals in the expression of impedance/admittance matrix has been proposed, is discussed. Moreover, some techniques based on the traditional transmission-line theory are discussed for some basic problems. |
