Sharing of Teaching Methods using a Database System for Special Needs Education

(in English) In this research we developed a case database system to store children's problem behavior for special needs education. The system stores two case data sets: (1) video recordings of children's problem behavior via webcam; and (2) electronic educational record templates for registering text information of children's problem behavior. Teachers share these stored data together with (3) electronic bulletin boards for analyzing video recordings and electronic educational records. These bulletin boards are also used to discuss improving guidance plans. We have utilized this system in classrooms, evaluated it, and verified the effectiveness of this system.
