Highly Efficient Supercontinuum Generation in Dispersion Managed Tapered Fiber Immersed in Heavy Water by Optical Pulses at 1064 nm.

(in English) Highly efficient generation of spectrally-broad single-mode supercontinuum (SC) light in conventional tapered fibers is well documented. It has been recently reported that optical pulses propagating through a tapered fiber immersed in heavy water (D$_2$O) yield an broad and flat SC spectrum because the dispersion characteristics of the fiber is flattened at zero dispersion around 1064 nm.
In this report, we present in detail the numerical analysis of the SC generation for the tapered fiber in D$_2$O. The influence of incident light pulse parameters and waist length of tapered fiber on SC spectra was also examined. From these results, it was found that a 468 nm wide SC spectrum at 20 dB less than the central maximum intensity
is generated from optical pulses with a pulse width of 250 fs and an average power of 90 mW at central wavelength of 1064 nm
due to propagation even in a tapered fiber with a waist length of 10 mm.
