Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper describes the system architecture for controlling wavelength switched optical path in multi-domain optical networks. In order to achieve highly scalable network operation, a sophisticated wavelength path control mechanism is required in multi-domain optical networks. With comparison of operation among the several system architectures, we concluded that PCE-based routing model is most suitable for controlling multi-domain networks. Also, we have proposed and evaluated high performance path computation method for obtaining end-to-end optimal paths. The evaluation results on prototype system showed that our path computation method reduce path computation time to one-seventh in comparison with the conventional one.
