| (in English) | We realized a compact 8 × 8 SOA (Semiconductor Optical Amplifier) gate switch subsystem using eight 8-input and 1-output integrated SOA modules for 256 × 256 optical packet interconnections utilizing MG-SOA (Multi-Gate Semiconductor Optical Amplifier) architecture in a 19-inch 1U sized rack. We confirmed a switching time of less than 2.0 ns and loss-less operation. Furthermore, We obtained a good cascaded transmission characteristics with low power penalty of less than 1 dB at 10Gb/s NRZ signal. | |
