Plunging of metal pin or shaft was studied inducing 20 kHz longitudinal vibration on static plunging force during plunging process. When inserting pin or shaft using only static force, the material with holes happen to broken by plunging pin by large static force and also the motor shaft plunged into the rotor center has inevitably eccentricity and must to adjust the eccentricity by manual or using some machines. Using ultrasonic vibration, static force and eccentricity the pin and shaft can be decreased due to decreasing frictional force by ultrasonic vibration. Using a 20 kHz large capacity vibration system, holding force is rather small under low speed plunging but become larger under high speed plunging and large vibration amplitude about 20 mm(peak-to-zero value). Require static plunging forces were larger under high speed plunging. |
