Parameter Optimization Speed Improvement for Multi-carrier Signals in An Adaptive Predistortion Method Based on Orthogonal Polynomial Expansion

(in English) Adaptive predistorter is an effective technique to compensate nonlinear distortion in power amplifier.
As a method to improve the parameter convergence speed in the predistorter, a series expansion technique with orthogonal polynomials has been proposed.
In this paper, we propose a method to improve parameter optimization speed by individually adjusting the step size corresponding to each orthogonal polynomial.
Computer simulation results for OFDM and W-CDMA signals show that the proposed method is effective in improving the parameter optimization speed of the predistorter for a power amplifier affected by memory effect.
In addition, we also show that power efficiency is further improved by combining the predistortion with peak-to-average power ratio reduction technique for OFDM signal.
