The proposed method improves error rate performance sub-optimizing with respect to the minimum distance criterion by modifying the conventional linear precoding weight (original weight). The conventional MMSE linear precodings such as RCI (Regularized Channel Inversion) for MU-MISO and SMMSE (Successive minimum mean square error) for MU-MIMO maximize SINR (Signal to Interference and Noise Ratio). However these conventional precodings does not optimize with respect to minimum signal distance because they dose not take signal phases into account. Usually, there is a dominant interference signal when using linear precoding under the multipath-rich propagation environment of multiuser MIMO. The proposed linear precoding can sub-maximize the minimum distance by means of the phase rotation of the dominant interference signal. The proposed method modifies the conventional beam forming weight with a little increase of computational complexity. This paper evaluates the bit error performances of the proposed linear precoding using RCI for MU-MISO, and SMMSE for MU-MIMO as the original weights by computer simulations. And the superiority of the proposed methods has been confirmed. |
