Ni-Fe単結晶試料についてQバンドとXバンドの強磁性共鳴(FMR)吸収曲線幅からGilbertのダンピング定数$\alpha$の印加磁界角度依存性を結晶構造に着目して求めた。QバンドFMR測定より、膜厚10nmのNi-Fe試料のダンピング定数は$\alpha$=0.006の一定値を示し、結晶方向に依存はしなかった。また、共鳴磁界で試料が単磁区構造をとっている場合、Qバンド、Xバンドのどちらのマイクロ波でも同様の結果が得られた。一方、Fe単結晶薄膜では、Fe(001)面内での$\alpha$の印加磁界角度依存性は、容易軸[100]方向最大値をとる四回対称の変化を示した。 |

Angular dependence of Gilbert's damping constant $\alpha$ for Ni-Fe(001) single crystal thin films were investigated by employing Q-band (35 GHz) and X-band (9 GHz) ferromagnetic resonance analysis in terms of the specimen’s crystal structure. The $\alpha$ for 10nm-thick specimen had constant values of 0.006, which were estimated by the Q-band FMR spectra, when the spectra were measured with changing external field directions in the film plane and out of plane. The $\alpha$ for the Ni-Fe specimens did not depend on the crystal directions. The $\alpha$ values estimated by X-band FMR spectra were good agreement with those by Q-band FMR spectra, when the magnetization of the specimens was saturated at the X-band resonance field. The $\alpha$ values were overestimated, when the magnetization was not saturated and the specimens had multi-domain structures at the resonance field. Angular dependence of $\alpha$ for Fe(001) single crystal thin films were also investigated. The $\alpha$ had the maximum values, when the external field were applied parallel to [100]Fe directions |
