Extraction of Via Points from a Tracing Minimum Jerk Trajectory
Takashi Oyama (Okayama Prefect Univ.) NC2008-138
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) It has been known that reaching movements between two points are reproduced by minimum jerk model gave initial and final states as a boundary condition. A human performs complex movements like writing and sports that cannot be reproduced by simply linking two points. In this study the method of via points extraction from a tracing minimum jerk trajectory was investigated on the assumption that a subject attempts to trace the path of an example trajectory at first and a subject finds via points from the tracing movement in a complex movement training. As the result of a computer simulation and an measurement experiment using a trochoid curve as the path of an example trajectory, it was confirmed that the proposed method can reproduce an example path.
