When waved quickly, a 1D LED array that emits patterns can present 2D images through retinal afterimages. However, such a method requires synchronization of the speed of the LED array with the speed of its emitting pattern. In this paper, we describe a Persistence of vision display that requires no synchronization and allows users to arbitrarily wave a LED array. We use a Pixel-level Visible Light Communication projector to densely embed the information in open space, and develop a LED array that simultaneously captures and displays information. |
