Detecting of changing in foot tissue-blood volume affected by venous occlusion using impedance measurement via water

(in English) The aim of this study is to detect increase in foot tissue-blood volume affected by venous occlusion (VO) using impedance measurement via water. A pair of electrodes of 100×50 mm in size was placed on inside wall of the plastic container, filled with 35 °C tap water. Constant current of 500 µA was applied between the electrodes, so that the voltage between the electrodes indicated impedance. Right foot was gently placed between the electrodes, and the foot tissue-blood volume was increased by VO with cuff pressure of 100 mmHg at the lower limb. The voltage between electrodes before and after the VO was measured continuously. The results showed that quantitative change of the voltage corresponded to the reference signals at tip of first finger of the foot of the laser tissue-blood flow meter and the NIRS tissue-blood flow meter.
