On the Emotion and Psychological Measurements based on Fractal Analyses of EEG Signals

(in English) In the world, various transportations such as vehicle, train, and so on exist for human to move. Thanks to technological
advances, traffic accidents caused by machine are decreasing, however, those caused by human errors have not vanished yet.
To analyze an accident caused by human errors, experiments or studies on alteration of psychological state of human while
driving using biological information such as pulse and so on have recently been implemented. On the other hand, we propose a
method to quantitatively obtain psychological information of a driver from a human electroencephalogram by using fractal
analysis. By using this method, it becomes possible to quantitatively measure psychological state of human fluctuating over
time, though that was ever difficult. We measured psychological state of human while driving with using a driving simulator,
and analyzed alteration of psychological state to driving condition by using the method.
