n this research we developed a case database system to store children's problem behavior and corresponding classroom guidance in special needs education. This system allows teachers to collaboratively examine these cases. The main characteristics of our system consist of case recording functions using webcam; (1)The webcam can store the video to a server from 20 seconds before the starting point when teacher starts recording with a wireless mouse during the class. This makes it possible for a teacher to capture the children’s problem behaviors that usually occurs unexpectedly. (2)Teachers can clearly describe the children’s problem behaviors in electronic educational records using the video recordings of the webcam instead of relying on their unsure memory. (3)The system is designed for up to 4 webcams. This allows recording the children’s problem behaviors in any corner of the classroom. This also allows teachers to concretely describe complex problem behaviors in electronic educational records and in full detail without any mistakes or lack of information. The system stores the above-mentioned video recordings and electronic educational records. These are shared by teachers together with an electronic bulletin board used for collaborative analysis, discussion and improvement of the guidance. |
