Reinforcement Learning of the Supervisor based on the Worst-Case Behavior Under Partial Observation

(in English) In our previous work, we have proposed a synthesis method of the supervisor based on the worst-case behavior of discrete event systems (DESs) by reinforcement learning.
However, in the actual systems, the supervisor cannot always observe all event occurrences of DESs.
So, it is important to consider the system under partial observation.

This paper proposes a synthesis method of the supervisor which learns how to assign control patterns under partial observation.
We use the projection function between the supervisor and the system to be controlled for taking into account unobservable events.
The supervisor learns how to assign control patterns based on the observed event and the reward database for unobservable events.
The supervisor estimates the state of the DES and updates the evaluation values for control patterns through learning.
We show the efficiency of the proposed method by computer simulation.
