[Invited Talk] A Study on Integrated Network Simulation Method

(in English) In this paper, we discuss a GUI-based integrated network simulation tool for the improvement of operations of ns-2. It includes not only a mathematical analytical method but also the network simulation methods composed of a packet-level simulation technique and a flow-level simulation technique. We also present a hybrid simulation method for large scale networks consisting of a high-speed WAN and local access networks. In this method, a local access network is simulated as a packet-level network and the WAN is modeled as a fluid network.
