3-D Sound field simulation using GPU

(in English) In this paper, a multi-GPU (Graphic Processing Unit) system is applied
to a high-performance numerical simulation of three-dimensional sound
field in time domain. The multi-GPU system consists of four GPUs.
The program code for GPU is described by CUDA (Compute Unified Device
Architecture) language and the code for the parallel programming is
described by OpenMP on the Windows XP platform. The finite difference time domain (FDTD) method and the digital Huygens' model (DHM) method are implemented on the multi-GPU system. The calculation performance is evaluated for the three-dimensional sound field simulations. As a result, peak performances of 2.18 GFUPS (Field Update Per Second) or 26.2GFLOPS are obtained for four GPU system.
