Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In outdoor to indoor radio propagation environments, multi-path effect of MIMO channel occurs only in indoor environments with paths propagated through apertures like windows when the outdoor propagation environments behave to be the free space propagation. When the dominant propagation paths are paths propagated through those apertures, it might be expected that smaller size of aperture can cause the keyhole effect because of the MIMO channel reduction. This report shows some results with respect to the keyhole effect for 2-by-2 MIMO channel in outdoor to indoor environments, which channel responses are estimated by ray-tracing method and aperture field method. This paper also shows measurement results for 2x2 MIMO channel conducted in 2.2 GHz band in which an aperture size is decreased, and discusses about the comparison with the calculated results.
