1 A Direction Detection Method of Line Pattern on The Noisy Background

(in English) The improvement of the delectability for linear patterns, such as guid-wires on fluoroscopic images is consecutively required in the interventional procedure. For this purpose, image processing of the edge-preserving method including a pattern recognition technique is investigated. In this study, the accuracy of several detection methods for a linear pattern was discussed. As a result, the direction determination method which minimizes the averaged pixel density on relatively wide area appears to be most effective. A pattern recognition process was then developed based on this method. By comparing the detection accuracy with the previous method, the improvement was obviously confirmed.
